Exercise for Life, June's Story

Story #1

When I first saw the man I was to marry, he was on his racing bicycle, riding through the edge of the lobby at the Hale Koa Hotel to store it before he checked in for work. Story #2

Anyway I married the guy because maybe I liked him, the sex was hot and, oh, I got pregnant. Sound familiar? My Mom even thought I was doing the right thing, go figure? We had a great wedding and everyone had a great time but me. He shoved the cake up my nostrils and made me cry. more....

An Angel in Disguise

I met Henry in the spring of 1985 at a surprise birthday party. I was the single mother of two teenagers and had been out of a relationship longer than in one. The fact that we ever met at all was one of those chance occurrences that would have never happened if every spoke in the wheel of circumstance had not been turning just right. Neither of us actually knew the birthday boy, and we both had been invited by friends. I had returned from a trip to Jamaica two weeks before and my feet were still floating about a foot above the ground with the memories of my first trip abroad. While in Jamaica, I had been treated like royalty by every male Jamaican and I came home feeling very let down by the men I knew. more....
